Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY seeks an upscale dining server to provide food and beverage service to our members and their guests, in a professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous manner.

Primary duties include serving, describing menu items, wine-by-the-bottle service, table maintenance, and adherence to club service standards in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner; address all member concerns to create a pleasant dining experience.
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describe ingredients and cooking methods.
  • Clear, sanitize, and reset tables according to service standard.
  • Ability to demonstrate coordination of table pacing and section maintenance while anticipating member needs.
  • Proficient in wine by the bottle service according to club standards.
  • Follow service standards as established in the training manual, adapt to changes and newly implemented service standards by the Manager.
  • Ensure proper set-up and maintenance of all dining areas and equipment.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness of workstations.
  • Ensure that all side work and setups are accurately completed in a timely manner.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of a constantly evolving menu and beverage programs.
  • Excels at maintaining a graceful, warm presence under pressure in a high-volume establishment.
  • Aware of applicable laws pertaining to the sale, service, and consumption of liquor and alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all uniform and grooming guidelines; professional in both appearance and manner at all times.
  • Able to effectively communicate with members, staff, and supervisors through verbal and written means.
  • Works well as a team member with the entire food & beverage staff as well as the Club staff as a whole.
  • Adherence to schedules and prompt attendance at all scheduled shifts.
  • Continuously focused on anticipating the member's wants and needs.
  • Knowledgeable of all aspects of the Club's operation, such as club history, operating hours, and club events.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to continually evolve and grow, professionally and personally.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management or other Club Management personnel.

Description

The upscale dining server's primary responsibility is to provide the membership and their guests food and beverage service in a most professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous manner while adhering to our service standards. Servers will strive to exceed the expectations of our members and their guests each and every time.
