Job summary

dnata Catering in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Receiving Clerk to support our supply chain by receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments of food, beverages, and related supplies. You will verify against purchase orders, store items, and help resolve discrepancies with other departments.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in storeroom/food and beverage, experience with ERP systems, and proficiency in Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years’ food and beverage storeroom experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in refrigerated storage environments.
• Ability to move stock on flat surfaces and inclined ramps using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lifts.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries from suppliers and verify against purchase orders for accuracy, quality, and completeness; document discrepancies.
• Break down skids and properly store raw materials.
• Fill requisitions from stock/warehouse in a timely manner; include food and non-food items.
• Restock, rotate, and organize inventory following FIFO procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas daily and clean spills.
• Collaborate with supervisors and work effectively as a team.
• Perform duties safely to prevent injury to self and others.
• Assist with inventory checks and audits as needed.
• Comply with HACCP, GMP, and food safety policies and procedures.
