Job summary

Highlands Sports Complex is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee concessions, birthday parties, and group bookings, delivering exceptional guest experiences and an A+ customer experience. The role leads daily culinary production, menus, and budgeting while supervising event and F&B staff; you will monitor costs, ensure compliance with safety standards, and develop new offerings to drive revenue.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of culinary experience.
• 2-4 years of food & beverage management experience.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
• Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
• Must have strong leadership skills and be decisive under pressure.
• Food Safety Manager Certification is preferred.
• ServSafe Certification is required (must be able to obtain within one month of hire).
• Proven success in generating community interest and involvement through non-sporting events, such as high-volume concessions and catered events.
• Excellent knowledge of food cost, pricing and profit margin for food & beverage.
• Experience in customer service, leadership, event planning, and managing staff.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have strong mathematical skills.
• Must be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for concessions and events to ensure quality and consistency.
• Hire, train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate event and F&B team members.
• Open and close concession locations and kitchen.
• Generate daily budgets and monitor weekly food and labor costs.
• Monitor quality control and manage storage areas.
• Create inventory management processes and coordinate equipment installation and repairs.
• Implement and manage sales strategies for ordering to control budgets.
• Create event P&L analyses to ensure feasibility and profitability.
• Develop new menu ideas reflecting demand and trends; research new products.
• Manage supplier invoices and vendor accounts; communicate with suppliers and sales reps.
• Inspect equipment and deliveries; maintain inventory and health-practices records for inspection readiness.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and collaborate on F&B inventory reports.
• Contribute to Facility Business Plan and event execution; ensure certifications are updated.
