Job summary

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to direct and organize operations across Beach and Pool, Restaurants, In-Room Dining, Bars and events, ensuring outstanding quality, service and profitability.

You will lead diverse teams, maintain guest relations at the highest level, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with culinary and service staff to deliver memorable experiences for guests in a iconic resort setting.

Qualifications

• Hotel operations experience in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong planning and organizing skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent guest relations and communication in English.
• Four-year college degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
• Experience supervising staff and hospitality

Responsibilities

• Direct and organize F&B operations to maximize profits.
• Ensure high standards of quality, service and marketing.
• Provide shift coverage across Beach, Pool, Restaurants, In-Room Dining, Bars, and events.

Job Description

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel Food and Beverage Manager directs and organizes food and beverage operations to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. This role provides shift coverage to various areas including: Beach and Pool, Restaurants, In-Room Dining, Bars, and event activations.

Qualifications

Education & Skills

• Strong understanding / experience of Hotel Operations in a multi-cultural environment.


• High level of drive for results; adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships.


• Strong planning and organizing skills with great attention to details.


• Excellent guest relations, problem solving and time management skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.


• Working knowledge of Micros


• Four-year college degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management required

Experience

• At least five years’ experience in related field preferred. Hotel restaurant management experience preferred.


• Experience with supervision of employees required.


• Hospitality experience preferred
