Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Columbia, MD is seeking a Project Manager for the Food and Beverage Construction niche. The role oversees projects from concept to completion, with profit and performance responsibility and a focus on client satisfaction.

Requirements include BS in Civil/Mechanical Eng and 3–5 years of design/build PM experience in Food Processing/Manufacturing & Beverage industries; proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office; ability to manage multiple activities under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in Food Processing/Manufacturing & Beverage industry.
• Ability to make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction; meet/exceed expectations.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage managerial and administrative aspects of a project including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reporting, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Engage with owners early in the process to facilitate design with chosen professionals.
• Lead the design team to deliver complete, client-focused design on schedule and coordinate drawings and permits.
• Ensure accurate project estimates with owner and design team; develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in proposal meetings with owners to review scope and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee buyout and selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct bi-weekly job-site meetings and travel if required.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure safety, quality and schedule.
• Conduct progress meetings with Owners and construction team.
• Maintain cost consciousness and effective communication with project stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with all involved in the project.
