Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command is seeking a part-time, seasonal Bartender/Food Service Worker at the Veterans Memorial Golf Course, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. The role covers both bartending and food service duties, with a 0-40 hour schedule including nights and weekends.

Rank-and-file responsibilities include drink preparation per recipes, cash handling, food service, cleaning, and maintaining safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Part-time, seasonal positions open year-round.
• Availability nights and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks, serves patrons, handles payments, and follows recipes to ensure proper measurements.
• Prepares sandwich-type food orders, takes orders, serves food and drinks, handles payments and cash register operations.
• Cleans kitchen and service areas, washes dishes, and maintains cleanliness of floors and equipment.
• Disposes of food waste and trash.
• Prepares Daily Activity Report and deposits cash receipts.
• Secures building at close in absence of management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
