Job summary

UEC in Lake Forest, CA, is seeking a hospitality-focused intern to join the Aman Food and Beverage team. You will assist in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly, learn setup and breakdown procedures per Aman standards, and help maintain clean front- and back-of-house areas.

The program targets students or recent graduates in Hospitality or Culinary Arts, with eligibility for a J-1 visa, strong English, sharp attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Hospitality or Culinary Arts program.
• Eligible for the J-1 Internship or Trainee Visa for the United States.
• Strong interest in luxury hospitality and guest service.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance, punctuality, and positive attitude.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively in a team.
• Must meet all J-1 visa and program sponsor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Food and Beverage team in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and professionally.

• Assist with polishing and restocking silverware, glassware, and linens.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Observe and support service timing and guest interaction flow.
• Participate in pre-service briefings and daily team meetings.
• Engage in cross-cultural exchange and hospitality best practices.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene procedures during training and service.
