Job summary

Community Action Council of Howard County (CAC) seeks a Food Bank Associate to manage donation transport, food storage, inventory, and distribution to clients and pantries in Columbia, MD. The role requires strong organizational skills and reliability.

You will work with staff and volunteers, ensure safety standards, and participate in training to support CAC's mission of helping families in need.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass the D.O.T. medical exam.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work Monday–Friday 8:30 am–4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate a box truck to transport donated and purchased food to the Food Bank.
• Safely store food and inspect for quality following health regulations.
• Stock shelves, rotate foods, and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Distribute TEFAP foods to Partner Pantries and assist clients during distribution.
• Lead volunteers and support clients at the Marketplace and vehicles.
