Job summary

Grove Park Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead the food service team in our skilled nursing setting. You will oversee staffing, menu planning, food ordering, meal preparation, delivery, and sanitation while ensuring adherence to resident care plans and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma with a Food Handler Level II certification, and either be a certified food service manager or hold an associate degree in food service

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and Food Handler Level II certification or state-specific food safety requirement.
• Certified food service manager or national certification required.
• Associate degree in food service management acceptable if coursework includes food service/restaurant management.
• Must meet state standards for food service managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the food service department, including staffing, food ordering, meal prep, delivery and sanitation.
• Schedule and train food service staff to ensure quality service.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to manage the operation of the food service department to include staffing, food ordering, meal preparation, food delivery, food safety and kitchen sanitation in accordance with community policies, physician orders, resident care plans and within thecurrent federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and supervise food service staff.

Education/Qualification:

• Must possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent and must possess a Food Handler level II or similar food safety certification per state specific requirement.

Must also be:

1. A certified food service manager; or

2. Have similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body; or

3. Have an associate’s or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning; and

4. In States that have established standards for food service managers or food service managers, meets State requirements for food service managers or food service managers.
