Position Details
- Assignment: Open now, ASAP start date. Internal bidders apply by 5/6/25, external applicants until filled.
- Location: Operations Department
- Schedule: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
- Salary: $16.46/hr
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation following recipes.
- Set up service areas, portion, and serve food.
- Clean and store kitchen equipment, and clean floors and tables.
- Operate kitchen and cooking equipment, recommend maintenance.
- Manage food and supply costs through proper storage, portion control, and stock rotation.
- Practice good nutrition and maintain sanitation and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.
- Supervise food service personnel.
- Assist in ordering supplies and food.
- Maintain public relations with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Plan workload, forecast requirements, and coordinate production.
- Complete food production records and ensure food presentation quality.
- Assist with catering and other duties as assigned.
Physical & Qualification Requirements
- Stand for prolonged periods, lift at least 46 pounds, work in warm environments, manual dexterity required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in food service preferred.
