HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a PRN Food and Nutrition Service Associate to join our Food & Nutrition Department. You will help with cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies, supporting patient meals and department operations.

The role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, HIPAA compliance, and delivering high-quality service to patients, families, and staff. Eligibility includes high school diploma and ServSafe within 90 days; healthcare experience

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness, organization and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department.
• Follows infection control practices and HIPAA guidelines to support patient safety.
• Adheres to uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
• Uses proper processes to achieve patient, customer and physician satisfaction goals.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Food Service Worker I will be a competent Support services employee who is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the performance management plan.

• Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPPA guidelines.
• Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards at all time
• Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient, customer & physician satisfaction goals.
• Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred
• 1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
