Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a PRN Food and Nutrition Service Associate to join our Food and Nutrition Department. You will help with cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction while following HIPAA guidelines.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year healthcare experience, and Food Handlers or ServSafe certificate within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• Food Handler or ServSafe certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the Food & Nutrition Department.
• Distributes food and supplies to patients and staff.
• Follows infection control practices, HIPAA guidelines, and department security.
• Supports goals for patient, customer, and physician satisfaction.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Food Service Worker I will be a competent Support services employee who is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the performance management plan.

• Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPPA guidelines.
• Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards at all time
• Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient, customer & physician satisfaction goals.
• Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire
