Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital is seeking a Food and Nutrition Service Associate to support cleanliness, organization and distribution of meals and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. You will follow safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines while delivering quality service to patients and staff.

The role requires a high school graduate and may require ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• Food Handlers or ServSafe certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization and distribution of food and supplies in Food & Nutrition.
• Adhere to infection control practices and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety.
• Follow uniform and appearance standards, and strive for patient, customer and physician satisfaction.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Food Service Worker I will be a competent Support services employee who is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the performance management plan.

• Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPPA guidelines.
• Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards at all time
• Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient, customer & physician satisfaction goals.
• Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire
