Overview

The Food and Beverage Manager oversees all aspects of F&B operations, ensuring profitability, high-quality products, and service levels. The role involves marketing ideas to promote business, reduce staff turnover, and maintain revenue and payroll budgets while achieving productivity and quality standards. The manager is expected to be energetic, a trainer, and a mentor, inspiring team excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and staff.
  2. Oversee daily outlet operations and be visible on the floor during meals.
  3. Supervise outlet staff and respond promptly to guest complaints.
  4. Coordinate with other F&B managers and senior leaders, keeping them informed of issues.
  5. Report problems and issues to supervisors promptly.
  6. Monitor loss prevention measures in the outlet.
  7. Prepare and submit reports such as wage progress, payroll, revenue, schedules, and action plans.
  8. Maintain service quality and assist in menu planning and compliance with regulations.
  9. Manage inventory controls for alcohol, food, and supplies.
  10. Conduct staff performance reviews and ensure training on SOPs and technical tasks.
  11. Participate in departmental and hotel-wide training sessions.
  12. Interview candidates and ensure proper hiring procedures.
  13. Handle tip reporting and oversee private events and in-room dining services.
  14. Hold staff accountable, recognize performance, and coach as needed.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 2 years of F&B management experience, preferably in an upscale hotel.
  2. Possession or willingness to obtain a safe food handling certificate.
  3. At least 2 years of progressive hotel or related experience, or a relevant college degree.
  4. Knowledge of F&B preparation, health regulations, and liquor laws.
  5. Ability to work long hours, stand for extended periods, and adapt schedules as needed.
  6. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
