Job summary

Jekyll Island Club Resort is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team, delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests at our historic, full-service properties on Jekyll Island.

You will lead hands-on during service, partner with culinary leadership, train and coach staff, ensure safety and sanitation standards, and help optimize staffing and costs while maintaining a welcoming, high-energy dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years restaurant management experience in a high-volume hotel restaurant.
• Experience in a similar size hotel (40+ rooms) with full-service hotel experience.
• Keen sense for hiring, training and coaching great people.

Responsibilities

• Supports the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Works with culinary leadership to maintain service and quality standards.
• Provides hands-on leadership during service and addresses operational needs.
• Ensures guest service excellence and promptly handles questions or requests.
• Greets guests and maintains a welcoming dining atmosphere.
• Assists with scheduling and staffing for appropriate coverage.
• Trains, coaches, and supports team members to meet service standards.
• Monitors performance and provides ongoing feedback.
• Assists with ordering, inventory, and maintaining supplies.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation compliance and resort policies.
• Maintains a clean, organized and professional restaurant environment.

The JOB:

We are searching for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team and help provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. We are excited to add a hands-on, energetic, and service-oriented leader who is passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities include:

• Supports the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent service.
• Works closely with culinary leadership and the Food & Beverage management team to maintain service and quality standards.
• Provides hands-on leadership during service, including assisting the team and addressing operational needs as they arise.
• Ensures excellent guest service and promptly addresses guest questions, concerns, or special requests.
• Meets and greets guests while maintaining a welcoming and positive dining atmosphere.
• Assists with scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage based on business levels.
• Trains, coaches, and supports team members to ensure service standards and expectations are consistently met.
• Monitors team member performance and provides ongoing feedback and direction.
• Assists with ordering, inventory, and maintaining appropriate product and supply levels.
• Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and Resort policies and procedures.
• Helps maintain a clean, organized, and professional restaurant environment.
• Supports cost-control initiatives and assists leadership with monitoring labor and operational expenses.
• Promotes teamwork, positive communication, and a professional work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Food & Beverage operation.

Requirements

• at least 2-4 years restaurant management experience in a high-volume hotel restaurant. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills to provide our guest with an exceptional experience.
