Job summary

Jekyll Island Club Resort is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the Food & Beverage team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests on Jekyll Island. This hands-on leader will drive service quality and guest satisfaction while collaborating with culinary leadership.

The role requires coordinating operations, mentoring staff, managing staffing and inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety and resort policies.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of restaurant management in a high-volume hotel restaurant.
• Experience in a similar-size hotel (40+ rooms).
• Strong hiring, training and coaching skills.
• Dependable, organized with a positive, can-do mindset.

Responsibilities

The JOB:

We are searching for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team and help provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. We are excited to add a hands‑on, energetic, and service‑oriented leader who is passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities include:

• Supports the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent service.
• Works closely with culinary leadership and the Food & Beverage management team to maintain service and quality standards.
• Provides hands‑on leadership during service, including assisting the team and addressing operational needs as they arise.
• Ensures excellent guest service and promptly addresses guest questions, concerns, or special requests.
• Meets and greets guests while maintaining a welcoming and positive dining atmosphere.
• Assists with scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage based on business levels.
• Trains, coaches, and supports team members to ensure service standards and expectations are consistently met.
• Monitors team member performance and provides ongoing feedback and direction.
• Assists with ordering, inventory, and maintaining appropriate product and supply levels.
• Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and Resort policies and procedures.
• Helps maintain a clean, organized, and professional restaurant environment.
• Supports cost‑control initiatives and assists leadership with monitoring labor and operational expenses.
• Promotes teamwork, positive communication, and a professional work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Food & Beverage operation.

Requirements

• at least 2-4 years restaurant management experience in a high‑volume hotel restaurant. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills to provide our guest with an exceptional experience.
• have experience in a similar size hotel: (40+ rooms). We look for candidates with full‑service hotel experience, preferable in an upscale independent hotel.
• have a keen sense for hiring, training and coaching great people so they can provide top notch service to our guests.
• are dependable, organized and have a positive, can‑do mindset. When things don't go as planned, your team can count on you!
• take ownership of your tasks and feedback from your manager so you can continue to grow.
