Role Description The Food and Beverage Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort in Deerfield Beach, FL. This role oversees daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, gelateria, and catered events, ensuring high-quality service and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing staff scheduling and performance, coordinating with culinary teams on menu offerings, and maintaining consistent service standards across all dining areas. The manager monitors inventory and ordering, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, and oversees budgeting and cost control for the department. The role also involves collaborating with the sales and events teams on catered functions, implementing training programs, and addressing guest feedback to continuously improve the food and beverage experience.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, and event catering.
• Proven ability in Customer Service, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences in a hospitality setting.
• Experience in Training team members, coaching staff, and developing service standards and procedures.
• Skill in Budgeting, cost control, and financial management for food and beverage departments.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in hotels, resorts, or comparable hospitality environments.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and food handling regulations, with a commitment to maintaining compliance.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries
• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant
• Ensure that the restaurant staff adheres to all safety and sanitation regulations
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience with conducting and maintaining inventory - identifying potential issues with food and beverage costs and record of being able to bring down and maintain food and beverage costs.

Experience with setting up and utilizing food ordering and inventory software such as Craftable, is preferred. Ability to review and process the department payroll on a biweekly basis.
