Summary
This position is located at: Epicenter Food Truck - Fort Irwin, California.
As a member of the Epicenter Food Truck team, you will be integral to a network of dining facilities. These establishments range from casual eateries to full-service dining and event catering.
This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis.

United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties
- Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Prepares sandwiches and box lunches. Washes dishes, pots and pans. Empties trash and cleans and sanitizes containers. Unloads trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas, brings supplies to work areas.
- Able to work alone. Know simple food handling techniques. Able to work safely. Able to serve uniform individual portions and avoid distractions when several guests ask for different items at the same time. Able to use simple arithmetic.
- Receives verbal and written assignments. Is expected to work as scheduled and to know what steps are needed to complete the work. Accomplishes work on own initiative.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be willing and able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Shifts may include working, morning, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Must be willing to work at the Epicenter Food Truck location.
- A physical is required for this position.

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following
- Must meet state/local age requirements (18) for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
- Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
- Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
- Skill in mixing or serving alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

PCS Costs:
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

- Incentives will not be paid.
Allowances and Differentials
- This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
