Located just outside of Canberra’s CBD, Mantra MacArthur Hotel offers a diverse range of accommodation options to suit various guest preferences. These include apartment-style studio rooms for business travelers, as well as one and two-bedroom suites for groups and families. On your days off, explore the many attractions of Australia’s capital city, such as the National Gallery, the War Memorial, and Parliament House, or enjoy shopping and dining in vibrant precincts.

Purpose

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will warmly welcome guests and guide them through our culinary offerings. Your role involves recommending dishes and beverages, demonstrating your expertise, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your dedication to service, teamwork, and attention to detail will contribute to memorable experiences for our guests.

Availability required from 6:30am - 12pm.

The Role

• Enjoy casual loading on all hourly rates! Base rate of $24.98, with loadings: Monday - Friday $31.23/hr, Saturday $37.47/hr, Sunday $43.72/hr, and Public Holidays $62.45/hr.
• Be part of a supportive and fun team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere that turns moments into memories and experiences into stories.
• Handle challenges positively, transforming obstacles into opportunities through problem-solving and a positive attitude.
• Enhance dining experiences with personalized food and beverage recommendations.
• Upsell thoughtfully to enrich guest experiences and encourage return visits.
• Proactively expand your product knowledge.
• Communicate confidently with guests and colleagues to ensure smooth teamwork.
• Maintain your workspace by setting up and packing service areas meticulously.

Skills and Experience

• Proven customer service experience in the hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of food & beverage protocols, including table service, beverage expertise, event service, and coffee skills (highly valued).
• Flexibility to work across various schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Valid RSA or equivalent certification for the relevant region.
• Passion for engaging with patrons and collaborating with diverse teams.
