Job summary

Round One Entertainment Inc. is hiring a customer service-focused Food & Beverage team member in Dayton, OH. You will operate the POS, prepare food and drinks, and help keep the food court area clean and well stocked.

You should be friendly, enjoy working with people, and be available for nights and weekends. Prior experience in hospitality or bowling environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 1–2 years in hospitality or retail.
• Experience in a bowling establishment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers and the public.

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the operation of the Food & Beverage Department. Open availability, especially on nights and weekends, is preferred. We require all F&B staff to be comfortable handling alcohol and be at least 21 years or older.

Essential Duties

• Operates POS register for food and drinks (includes bar register when directed).
• Prepares food and beverage items utilizing policies and standards of the company.
• Resets and bus the food court seating area.
• Washes and dries dishes, glasses and other cooking/food prep utensils.
• Conducts all opening and closing procedures.
• (Opens and closes cash tills, kitchen cleaning and etc.).
• Manages food and beverage inventory in accordance with the stores policies and procedures.
• Maintains proper temperature for refrigerators and freezers.
• Manages plates, cups, and other utensil inventory in accordance with the store policies and procedures.
• Conducts restroom checks and cleaning including laundry of department specific cleaning rags.
• Responds responsively, politely with friendly demeanor to customers’ requests.
• Occasionally cross-trains to assist Amusement & Bowling department with POS transactions.
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Department & Store Management.

Non-Essential Duties

• Conducts alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Conducts lost and found procedures in accordance with company policies.
• Seeks constant improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in department work processes.
• Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
• Follows up to complete any assigned work.
• Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to executive management for solution.
• Maintains good communication with customers, management, office staff members and outside contacts.
• Compiles and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
• May help with mailing and shipping activities as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Education/Experience

• A High School diploma and a minimum of one to two years experience in a hospitality or retail environment required.
• Experience in a bowling establishment preferred, but not required.

Language Ability

• Ability to effectively communicate with management, co-workers and the general public.
