Job summary

Metro Caring in Denver, CO is seeking a Food Access Partner Agencies & Relations Coordinator to build and manage community partnerships, coordinate food donation and partner distribution, and support equitable access to food.

You will maintain program data, drive process improvements, and collaborate across teams, including volunteers, donors, and community partners, with cross-training to ensure continuity.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the local food justice ecosystem.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to analyze data to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Metro Caring’s Food Access Resource Share (FARS) activities.
• Cultivate relationships with in-kind and faith-based partners.
• Coordinate food drives and Stamp Out Hunger participation.
• Assist with ordering, logistics, and materials for off-site events.
• Collaborate to implement an in-kind donation strategy.
• Partner with Development and Volunteer teams to engage partners.
• Serve as point of contact for grocery rescue partners such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, King Soopers, Sam’s Club.
• Attend partner events and participate in Colorado’s food justice ecosystem.
• Support daily workflow in market and warehouse.
• Prioritize safety in loading dock, warehouse, and market.
• Support compliance with ServSafe food safety standards.
• Implement warehouse opening and closing procedures.
• Back-up warehouse shift as needed and drive food pickups in trucks.
• Train volunteers and maintain shift communication for smooth operations.
• Utilize Salesforce for data entry, reporting, and program evaluation.
• Maintain accurate records of donations and data trends.
• Collaborate across teams to improve workflows and reduce barriers.
