Job summary

Advantage Book Binding, Inc. in Middle River, MD is seeking an experienced folder operator to run Stahl/MBO folders for book signatures and commercial work.

You’ll set up, adjust for stocks and folding patterns, monitor quality, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with the binder crew and production scheduling to keep jobs on time. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, with Friday overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Stahl/MBO folders strongly preferred.
• Experience on other folders (Baum, Heidelberg, etc.) is a major plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Folder Operator - Stahl/MBO Folders | Advantage Book Binding, Inc. | Middle River, MD

Advantage Book Binding has been binding and finishing books for publishers, commercial printers, and end users for more than 40 years. We're a 35-person shop in Baltimore County, and we're growing. This fall we're installing a new Müller Martini Alegro perfect binder, and we need a skilled folder operator to help us keep up with the work coming through the door.

What you'll do

• Make adjustments for different stocks, page counts, and folding patterns
• Check output for quality and catch problems before they reach the bindery

• Work with the binder crew and production scheduling to keep jobs on time
