Role Description

The Folding Machine/Bindery Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring folding machines and related bindery equipment to produce finished printed materials according to job specifications. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, performing basic adjustments, inspecting work for accuracy and quality, and completing production runs on schedule. The operator will follow safety and maintenance procedures, identify and resolve minor mechanical issues, and work closely with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow. Accurate documentation of production information and clear communication about job status and issues are also important parts of this role.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate folding machines and related bindery equipment, with strong Machine Operation skills.
• Experience working with industrial Machinery and Hand Tools in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including inspecting finished products and following specifications and standards.
• Effective Communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Attention to detail, ability to read and follow work orders and technical instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for minor adjustments and maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as needed, and work safely in a fast-paced production setting.
• Previous bindery or printing industry experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
