Job summary

Modern Press, Inc. is a high-quality, family-owned commercial printing company. We are seeking a dependable Bindery Worker / Folder Operator to join our production crew. You will set up and run Stahl and MBO folders, perform quality checks, assist shipping, and communicate with the team to keep production on schedule.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience with folder machinery is a plus. We offer health insurance, an HSA, a 401(k) plan, and PTO.

• Experience operating Stahl/MBO folder machines preferred.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train is essential.
• Strong work ethic with ability to manage multiple daily projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up and efficiently run Stahl and MBO folders to complete multiple print finishing projects daily.
• Maintain high quality control throughout the binding process.
• Assist in shipping department as needed to ensure orders ship on time.
• Communicate timing, scheduling, or production concerns with the broader team.

What You'll Do

• Machine Operation: Set up and efficiently run Stahl and MBO folders to complete multiple print finishing projects each day.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality control throughout the entire binding process.
• Shipping Support: Cross-train and lend a hand in the shipping department as needed to ensure final products get out the door on time.
• Team Communication: Work independently while proactively communicating any timing, scheduling, or production concerns with the broader team.

What We're Looking For

• Experience operating folder machinery (Stahl/MBO) is highly preferred, but willingness to learn and cross-train is essential.
• A strong, self-motivated work ethic with the ability to manage multiple daily projects.
• Great communication skills and a team-player attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
