Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a dependable Gluer Operator to set up and operate folding carton machines, feed production lines, and ensure cartons meet quality standards. The role requires standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing basic maintenance while following standard procedures.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of folder-gluer or related manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and a quality-first mindset to safeguard product integrity for customers.

Qualifications

  • Quality control experience preferred and attention to detail required.
  • 2 years: folder gluing experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up window/folder-gluer machines.
  • Feed machines during production runs.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machines as needed.
  • Stand and move in a fast-paced environment for 8–12 hour shifts.
  • Follow job instructions, meet quotas, and ensure conformance to specs.
  • Perform general maintenance and clear jams as required.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Description

Our Gluer Operators are responsible for the set-up and operation of folder-gluer machines, ensuring all cartons meet our high-quality standards, for all our customers.


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Set up window/folder-gluer machines

  • Feed machines during production runs

    • Must be able to continuously lift, fan, and load stacks of paperboard into the machine feed. This requires repetitive reaching and gripping.



  • Troubleshoot and perform machine adjustments as needed

  • Must be comfortable standing and moving in a fast-paced environment for the duration of an 8-12-hour shift, maintaining the physical pace required to keep the machine running at target speeds.

  • Follow work instructions and procedures for each job

  • Meet job quotas and maintain product conformance to specifications

  • Perform general maintenance

    • Fine motor skills required for clearing occasional jams and making precise adjustments to belts, guides, and glue guns.



  • Handle all other duties as assigned

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

  • Must be willing to work 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm) or 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am) with some overtime/weekend work

    • Training will be on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm) up to the first 120 days of employment



  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
