Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience operating folding/gluing machines and proficiency with Bobst and Heidelberg systems, plus glue equipment from Leary, HHS, Nordson, and Robatech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating folding/gluing machine.
• Experience with Bobst Media, Bobst Alpina, Bobst Masterfold, Heidelberg Diana, Leary & HHS cold glue systems, Nordson & Robatech hot melt gluers.
• Able to read and follow job jackets and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Set up folding/gluing line and ensure proper run rate and quality.
• Maintain materials staged at the machine.
• Read and follow job jacket instructions and verify first piece against samples.
• Obtain supervisor sign-off on first piece approval.
• Perform quality pulls and document production logs.
• Ensure proper machine setup and adherence to customer requirements.
• Identify non-conforming products and tag for QA inspection.
• Apply customer-required labels to cartons if needed.
• Report unclear information to supervisor and perform other duties.

Scope of Position:

The Fold/Glue Operator is responsible for set up, running, and clearing the folding and gluing, imagers, scanners and cameras in the most efficient manner possible while maintaining established run rate and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform line clearance according to standing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and complete all Line Clearance (LC) Logs
• Have all necessary material staged at the machine
• Read and understand job jacket instructions
• Ensure customer sample is at the machine and that first piece approval matches the sample
• Obtain sign-off on first piece approval by supervisor
• Perform quality pulls as specified in department SOP
• Complete production logs both for Fox and customer if required
• Ensure machine is set up properly and running to specified rate and quality
• Identify non-conforming products and place QA inspect tags on load
• Follow any customer specific requirements for manufacturing, quality, and shipping
• Report any unclear or conflicting information to the department supervisor
• Request labels from shipping and apply to cartons if required
• Perform any other duties as required
