Role Description

The Folder Gluer Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The operator is responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring folder gluer equipment to produce high-quality folded and glued packaging products according to job specifications. Typical day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting job tickets, performing machine changeovers, adjusting settings for accuracy and speed, and conducting in-process quality checks. The role involves troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and collaborating with production leads and team members to meet schedules and productivity goals. The operator also assists with basic equipment maintenance and documentation of production runs to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and read English and interpret job tickets, production schedules, and technical instructions related to printing and packaging.
• Experience operating folder gluer or similar finishing equipment in a printing or packaging environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform machine setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, folding and gluing processes, and quality inspection standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety practices, good housekeeping, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
• Previous experience in printing, converting, or packaging manufacturing is preferred.
