Job summary

Axle in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Management Analyst to support NIH with FOIA and Privacy Act processing, research, drafting responses, and case management. The role also develops science-based materials for NIH audiences and collaboration with editors and subject matter experts.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Governmental Affairs, or Public Policy with 5+ years of specialized FOIA/privacy experience (7 preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of specialized FOIA/Privacy Act support experience; 7 years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required in Public Health, Governmental Affairs or Public Policy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work with editors.
• Ability to research, draft, and manage information requests and responses.

Responsibilities

• Process FOIA and Privacy Act requests and prepare responses.
• Research, write, fact-check, and revise science-based materials for NIH audiences.
• Coordinate with editors and subject matter experts to finalize documents.
• Maintain records of source material, interviews, and drafts for compliance.
• Attend meetings in person or remotely and manage deadlines.
