Job summary

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) within the Department of Justice seeks an experienced OGC attorney to support the FOIA Unit. Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Active member in good standing of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).
  • 4+ years post‑J.D. legal experience, with at least 1 year at GS-14 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to OIG personnel on FOIA/PA and related information disclosure matters.
  • Draft, edit, and review FOIA/PA briefs, declarations, and litigation documents.
  • Coordinate with DOJ litigators and U.S. Attorneys on national‑scope matters.
