Job summary

Mamahuhu Mill Valley is hiring a FOH Team Member to join our front of house. You will work in a fast-paced, guest-facing setting, running food, bussing tables, and helping at the POS counter. The role requires a flexible schedule and a positive, team-focused attitude to ensure guests enjoy a seamless dining experience.

Experience in hospitality is preferred, with an emphasis on strong customer service and a sense of urgency. Knowledge or interest in Chinese cuisine is a plus.

Qualifications

Mamahuhu's founding team includes Brandon Jew of Mister Jiu's in San Francisco's Chinatown and Anmao Sun and Ben Moore of Hunter Gatherer, a farm-to-table restaurant group in Shanghai, China. With experience spanning fine dining to fast casual, China to California, our team is united by a shared love for Chinese-American food and a commitment to sustainability, quality sourcing, and community.

Mamahuhu is growing its front of house team. We have a casual, 40-seat dining room with bench, counter and booth seating. The dining room is designed for counter-service style ordering where guests line up, order at the counter, receive a number and we bring the food out to them when it's ready. The front of house is designed to be simple and lean and works great when we have a tight, organized group who can work efficiently and as a team.

We are looking for a friendly and positive FOH Team Member to join our team. This role is great for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, guest-facing environment — shifts vary based on scheduling needs. You'll run food, bus the dining room, hold down our point of sale (POS) counter during service, and help open or close the Front of House depending on your shift. The position is dynamic and will have you working in the dining room, at the POS counter taking orders, answering the phone, and occasionally supporting our expediter in the kitchen. Our restaurants are a fun, flexible, and teamwork-oriented environment!

The pay range for this role is:
