Job summary

Santonia Cantina in San Antonio seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily front-of-house operations, elevating a warm, energetic guest experience and fostering a hospitality-driven team culture.

You will be highly visible on the floor, coaching in the moment, protecting service standards and ensuring smooth operations across dining room, bar and patio during both everyday and high-volume periods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership or supervisory experience.
• Passion for food, beverage and guest experiences.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example delivering welcoming hospitality.
• Actively manage dining room, bar, patio, host stand and service flow.
• Support interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training and coaching of FOH staff.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings covering reservations, events and priorities.
• Coach service standards, knowledge and upselling techniques.
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager on ticket flow and communication between FOH/BOH.
• Support hosts, waitlists, reservations and peak-period operations.
