Job summary

Veolia is seeking a dedicated FOG Operator to support the FOG management program at the Danbury Wastewater Treatment Plant. The role involves offloading grease trucks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a dynamic plant environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, experience in wastewater or industrial settings, and a valid driver’s license. The position is on-site with outdoor/indoor work and exposure to odors and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in wastewater/industrial operations or pump systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with FOG programs or grease handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Offload grease trucks following safety procedures.
• Schedule grease truck deliveries and disposals.
• Perform decanting and transfer of oil/processed materials to storage.
• Maintain FOG equipment, tanks, piping, and facilities.
• Monitor equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report issues.
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, offloads, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with operators and haulers to ensure smooth operations.
