Job summary

Siemens Industry is seeking a Focus Factory Manager for our Pomona, CA factory to lead Switchboard and Panelboard Assembly operations. This role partners with Production Scheduling, Project Management, and Customer Service, reporting to the Plant Manager.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business management and 8+ years of leadership in a high-growth manufacturing environment, with strong cost control, Lean, and data-driven decision skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or business management
• 8+ years proven leadership experience in a high growth manufacturing environment
• Ability to lead and motivate salaried and hourly teams while building engagement, culture, and accountability
• Highly effective organizational, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
• Understanding of cost drivers (labor, scrap, downtime, materials), budgeting, cost-reduction projects, and resource planning for managing efficiency and headcount alignment
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

• Drive Safety culture across the shop floor with preventive measures and engagement
• Drive Quality through continuous improvement of processes and systems to achieve zero defects
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high levels of on-time delivery and reducing lead times
• Control Cost by leading your team to continually identify and eliminate waste from the manufacturing processes applying data driven lean methodology and digital factory technology
• Improve foundational Inventory field and production flow to meet inventory accuracy and inventory turn-over requirements
• Monitor important metrics and leading corrective actions to address gaps
• Conduct team resource planning, staffing, training, communication and performance management
• Champion an environment of collaboration and a focus on achieving results within your team and across peer groups
• Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to solve operational issues
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and/or business plans for aggressive sales growth
• Analyze order intake, product mix and complexity to develop a plan to improve efficiency

Position Overview

Our growing facility produces high-quality, Engineered-to-order power distribution equipment. This position leads our Switchboard and Panelboard Assembly areas to achieve the desired safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory performance. The person will have Production Scheduling and Planning; Project Management and Customer Service; and Production Managers and Production Supervisors. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

• Project Management Certification
