Job summary

fxiexternalsite is seeking a lab technician to manage lab documentation, enter daily data, and coordinate samples for customers. You will generate and file certification sheets, maintain accurate records, and support production with foam testing results.

The role involves preparing lab equipment, performing standard physical tests on foam, and communicating non-conformances to ensure product quality and CAPA actions are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a lab environment following SOPs and quality procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and record keeping.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor and coordinate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Create, send, and file lab certification sheets for customers.
• Enter lab data into database daily and coordinate lab files.
• Work with production to track daily foam results and customer cert sheet needs.
• Coordinate, prepare, and ship lab samples to customers.
• Create spreadsheets of lab results to analyze data.
• Conduct physical foam testing (Density, ILD, Tensile, Tear, Elongation).
• Schedule sample cuts and operate Bandsaw for tests.
• Send certification sheets to customers.
• Run analysis on unknown foams for sales quotations.
• Maintain lab safety and cleanliness; prepare lab equipment.
• Communicate non-conformances to supervisor and stop production if needed.
• Support environmental awareness and CAPA processes.
