Job summary

FXI Fort Wayne requires a Quality Lab Technician to support foam manufacturing lab operations, testing materials, and ensuring product quality. You will document test results, prepare samples, and maintain equipment while following safety and quality standards.

The role involves daily foam testing, data entry, and coordinating with the Quality Manager. A technical degree is preferred and candidates must be able to lift 60 lbs and work safely around high voltages.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting written instructions and procedures.
• Ability to work with high voltages and around moving equipment safely.
• Lift 60 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Accurate data entry and documentation of test results.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in maintenance millwright and electrician roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test foam samples and perform quality checks in the lab.
• Record data, analyze results, and issue certifications as needed.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety rules.
• Interface with suppliers to address defective materials.
• Perform daily foam tests and support manufacturing processes.
