Job summary

Kirkwoodfence is seeking an Insulation Installer to lay and replace insulation in buildings and mechanical systems, reading blueprints to calculate needs and ensure proper fitting.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, fastening insulation, transporting tools, and adhering to safety guidelines; ability to work in extreme heat and in confined spaces is required. High school diploma preferred; related experience welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related insulation installation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Education LevelNone## DescriptionThe Insulation Installer will lay or replace insulation materials in buildings to control or maintain building temperature.* Installs and replaces insulation in buildings and mechanical systems.* Reads building plans and blueprints to calculate the quantity and type of insulation materials needed to fulfill job requirements.* Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines.* Loads and unloads insulation materials.* Installs or sprays insulation in attics.* Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes.* Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed.* Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite.* Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations.* Performs other related duties as assigned.## Qualifications## Required Skills/Abilities:* Extensive knowledge of insulation materials and ability to determine best material for a project.* Ability to follow instructions.* Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Excellent time management skills.* Excellent communication skills.* Class E Drivers License preferred / Must be able to obtain within 30 days.## Education and Experience:* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* Related experience preferred.## Physical Requirements:* Prolonged periods standing, bending, or climbing ladders.* Ability to work in confined spaces.* Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.* Must be able to wear a respirator* Must be able to work in extreme heat
