Job summary

Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team, providing medical care to patients in substance use treatment. You will conduct histories and exams, manage detox protocols, and prescribe medications under standing orders while collaborating with behavioral health staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Massachusetts FNP license with at least 2 years of psychiatric experience, and preferably experience in detox or inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Active MA FNP licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric experience.
• Experience in detox, addiction medicine, or inpatient care preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making, autonomy, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical exams during admission and for acute issues.
• Manage detox protocols and monitor withdrawal complications with appropriate labs and tests.
• Prescribe and manage medications related to withdrawal and other medical conditions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to address medical issues in treatment.
• Document care in EMR systems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with behavioral health staff.
