Job summary

NPHire in Washington, DC is seeking two part-time Family NP clinicians for a clinical role across four small clinics built into DC public housing. Clinics are renovated apartments; comfort with that setting is required. Two to three days per week, Monday through Friday, no weekends.

30-minute appointments, onsite labs, MA support at every visit, Lead NP available as backup. Cradle-to-grave Medicaid care for families with limited access to a provider.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Washington, DC NP license (or ability to obtain before start).
• FNP certification through ANCC or AANP; pediatric patients included; AGPCNP does not meet requirement.
• Active DEA registration required.
• MSN, DNP, or equivalent advanced nursing degree.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care across the lifespan at two assigned DC public housing clinic sites.
• Provide well child care, immunizations, physicals, and preventive screenings.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions with emphasis on chronic disease management.
• Manage patients with multiple chronic conditions and significant social needs.
• Prescribe and manage medications including controlled substances.
• Order and interpret onsite labs and point-of-care testing.
• Coordinate referrals with specialists, hospitals, and community organizations.
• Provide health education and counseling with attention to health literacy.
• Document care accurately in the EHR.
• Participate occasionally in community outreach events at clinic sites.

A primary care organization in Washington, DC is hiring two part-time FNPs for a pure clinical role inside four small clinics built into converted apartments within DC public housing communities. These are not medical offices — the clinics are renovated apartments in public housing buildings, and comfort with that setting is a genuine requirement before applying. Two to three days per week, Monday through Friday, no weekends. Thirty-minute appointments, onsite labs, MA support at every visit, Lead NP available as backup. Cradle-to-grave Medicaid panel serving families who have not had consistent access to a provider who knows them. No admin duties. No leadership requirement. Spanish strongly preferred.

• Must be fully comfortable practicing in renovated apartment settings inside DC public housing buildings

Schedule & Compensation

• $60–$70/hour
• Part-time | 2–3 days per week | Onsite only
