Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our Newport News facility. You will perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and conduct general repairs as needed, helping us keep complex commercial systems running smoothly.

We value hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and reliable service. A Journeyman license is preferred, with EPA and OSHA knowledge; high school diploma or equivalent required. We offer competitive wages and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting, servicing and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Journeyman HVAC license (preferred, not required).
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems and related controls.
• Experience with BAS, Hydronics and Refrigeration (preferred).
• EPA certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems
• Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components

A day in the life:

You should have:

• Work experience as a Commercial Service Technician with a specialization in troubleshooting, servicing and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Journeyman HVAC license (preferred, not required)
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems and related controls
• Experience with BAS, Hydronics and Refrigeration (preferred)
• EPA certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent
