Job summary

Harris Health in Houston is seeking a Leave & Disability HR Coordinator to manage FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD and return-to-work processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex leave scenarios in a high-volume health system.

Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience; five years in leave and disability programs preferred with PHR or SHRM-CP preferred. Proficiency in PC, MS Office, PeopleSoft; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of commensurate professional work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Five (5) years of related experience with leave and disability plans; PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
• Proficient with PC, MS Office, PeopleSoft.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; heavy public contact; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Writing / Composing: Correspondence / Reports.
• Other Skills: Analytical; PC; MS Word; MS Excel.
• Work Schedule: Flexible.
• Other Requirements: Knowledge of FMLA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD and return-to-work programs.
• Coordinate leave requests with employees, managers, and benefits.
• Maintain accurate leave records and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Prepare correspondence and reports as needed.
