  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining cost models in Excel, including use of functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), and basic scenario analysis to support pricing and budgeting decisions.
  • Familiarity with indirect cost structures used by government contractors (e.g., fringe, overhead, G&A, service center pools) and the ability to calculate and explain indirect rates using standard allocation bases.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and relevant sections of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), including Part 31 cost principles and 2 CFR 200 uniform guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex financial and regulatory questions into structured, data‑driven analyses.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate financial and regulatory concepts for non‑financial stakeholders in a fast‑paced client environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and thrive in an entrepreneurial, growth‑oriented consulting firm culture aligned with EverGlade’s focus on high‑impact federal programs.
Preferred Qualifications (Consultant)
  • Experience preparing pricing proposals, cost narratives, or budget justifications for federal grants, cooperative agreements, or contracts.
  • Exposure to DCAA expectations for cost allowability, allocability, and indirect rate structures under FAR Part 31.
  • Experience supporting clients in life sciences, R&D, or other innovation‑driven sectors that frequently use federal funding mechanisms.
Core Qualifications (Senior Consultant)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field; an advanced degree (e.g., MAcc, MSF, MBA) or relevant certification (CPA, CFA, CGFM, PMP) is preferred.
  • 3–6 years of progressive experience in government contracting, financial management consulting, public accounting, or federal financial advisory, including direct client‑facing responsibility.
  • Advanced proficiency in building, auditing, and maintaining complex cost models and pricing tools in Excel to support federal contracts and grants, including scenario modeling for different indirect rate and fee structures.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, calculating, and monitoring indirect rates (e.g., forward pricing rates, provisional billing rates, final indirect rates), and explaining rate impacts to both technical and financial stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and applicable CFR provisions governing cost allowability, cost allocation, and pricing of federal awards, including FAR Part 31 and 2 CFR 200.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams or small teams, manage junior staff, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts across finance, contracts, technical, and program management stakeholders.
  • Proven experience developing client deliverables such as cost models, budget justifications, audit responses, and executive‑level presentations that synthesize complex financial data into clear recommendations.
  • Track record of operating in an entrepreneurial consulting environment, including business development support (e.g., proposal input, level‑of‑effort estimates, or pricing strategy) consistent with EverGlade’s high‑growth, innovation‑focused mission.
Preferred Qualifications (Senior Consultant)
  • Direct experience supporting DCAA or other audit readiness efforts related to indirect rates, incurred cost submissions, or business system reviews.
