Responsibilities

• Perform cutting, polishing, and finishing operations on laser optics components.
• Run and monitor up to two machines simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
• Measure and verify part dimensions, surface finish, and optical specifications using metrology equipment.
• Handle sensitive optical components with care to prevent damage.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Work closely with trainers and team members during onboarding and skill development.
• Support machine setups and basic troubleshooting activities.
• Perform inspections in a low-light environment when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all EHS, PPE, and quality procedures.

Insight Global is seeking a Flycut Operator for a leading advanced optics and photonics manufacturing client. This candidate will support the production of highly precise laser optics and optical components using specialized flycut machining equipment in a clean manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined individual with manufacturing experience who can multitask, maintain strong attention to detail, and thrive in a quality-focused environment. Training is provided, with new hires typically partnered with a trainer for approximately three months before operating independently.
