Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled welder/pipefitter for our Columbia, SC fabrication facility to perform structural steel fitting and flux core welding, with tack welding and pipe fitting duties. The role requires 1-2 years of experience, the ability to read blueprints, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, Friday 5am-1pm, with occasional Saturdays; this is a fully onsite position based in Columbia, SC.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting.
• Proficiency in flux core welding and tack welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in a steel fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete fitting duties at a steel fabricator.
• Perform structural steel fitting.
• Execute flux core and tack welding.
• Read a tape measure accurately to the 1/16th of an inch.
• Handle pipe fitting tasks.
• Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
