Job summary

Unknown company is hiring a mobile engineer to own Flutter and Dart apps end to end in a Berlin-based team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable mobile applications with an AI-first workflow and close collaboration with product, design and backend engineers.

The role requires 3+ years of production app experience, strong state management, performance optimisation, and English at a high level. Hybrid working with three office days and two remote days is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building production apps with Flutter and Dart.
• Depth in complex mobile apps: state management, networking, API integration, UI/UX components.
• Strong mobile fundamentals: performance, security and accessibility.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery.
• AI-native workflow: using Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot with good judgement.
• English at C1; able to communicate across an international team.
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Own mobile features end to end: design, build and maintain scalable Flutter and Dart apps.

• Set the technical bar for state management, networking and UI components; write clean, testable code.
• Drive performance: profile, debug and optimise the app for weak connections.

• Mentor less experienced engineers; review their work and raise team standards.
• Track Flutter, Dart and mobile development trends and bring useful tools to the team.

Your responsibilities

• You own mobile features end to end: you design, build and maintain scalable Flutter and Dart applications, from concept to production
• You build AI-first. Coding agents, LLMs and AI-assisted development are part of the daily workflow here, not a pilot project, and you decide where they accelerate the work and where they don't
• You set the technical bar for state management, networking and UI components, and you write code that is clean, testable and reviewed
• You drive performance: you profile, debug and optimise the app until it holds up in the yard, on a dealer's phone, on a weak connection
• You shape architecture and technical direction together with product managers, designers and backend engineers
• You mentor less experienced engineers, review their work and raise the standard of the whole team
• You track what moves in Flutter, Dart and mobile development, and you bring the tools that are worth adopting into the team

What you bring

• 3+ years of professional experience building production apps with Flutter and Dart
• Proven depth in complex mobile applications: state management, networking, API integration, UI and UX components
• Command of mobile fundamentals: performance optimisation, security and accessibility
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery
• An AI-native way of working: you use tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot actively in your development workflow and have real judgement about their limits
• English at C1 level, and you communicate clearly across an international team
• Based in Berlin or ready to relocate

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, marketplace or B2B platform environments
• German at B2 level
