Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Fluids Ground Support Equipment (FGSE) Design Engineer in Bertram, TX to help develop launch-site and test-stand equipment for our aerospace client. You will design fluid systems, create P&IDs, size components, and specify hardware for cryogenic and multiphase fluids.

You will work in small teams across facilities, leading design reviews, performing activations, and coordinating with technicians to install and validate systems. Travel to site will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in aerospace, R&D, or oil & gas environments.
• Experience in cryogenic system design or operation.
• Experience in fluid systems, pneumatics, hydraulics or HVAC in design/assembly/test/ops.

Responsibilities

• Design ground fluid systems including P&IDs and sizing calculations for cryogenic and other fluids.
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, and operation of GSE systems.
• Lead design reviews and provide test procedures with safety focus.
• Travel to test and launch sites as required.
