Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Fluids Engineer to design, build, and activate fluid systems for power generation facilities. You will model piping, perform stress analyses, and develop detailed diagrams while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and facilitating field construction and commissioning activities.

The role requires experience with fluid systems, CAD tools, and industry standards, plus strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
• 1+ years of experience with fluid systems or process engineering required.
• Master's degree in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial fluid systems preferred.
• Experience with fuel gas, ammonia, water treatment, compressed air, and HVAC systems preferred.
• Experience with ASME B31, ASME B&PVC Code VIII or other standards preferred.
• Experience with CAD software like Siemens NX or SOLIDWORKS preferred.
• Familiarity with instrumentation selection and control systems for plant operations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and activate fluid systems for power plants and related infrastructure.
• Model piping assemblies using CAD and perform piping stress analysis.
• Read and develop piping and instrumentation diagrams for complex fluid systems.
• Select components and provide specifications for purchase.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and controls engineers on system design.
• Oversee fabrication and installation of fluid systems in plants; hands-on in the field.
• Perform planning, analysis, and troubleshooting during operations and post-outage reviews.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure long-term operability and understanding.
• Provide innovative solutions with minimal supervision.
