Job summary

SpaceXAI’s Power Generation Engineering team seeks a Fluids Engineer to design, build, and activate fluid systems for power plants and related infrastructure in the Memphis area.

You will model piping with CAD, perform stress analysis, select components, and coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and controls groups. You will travel to other SpaceX locations as needed and contribute to safe, reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience with fluid systems or process engineering.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial fluid systems.
  • Experience with ASME B31, ASME B&PV Code Section VIII.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, SOLIDWORKS, or similar CAD software.
  • Experience with CAESAR II or similar pipe stress analysis programs.
  • Experience using Python for data review and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and activate fluid systems for power generation plants and related infrastructure.
  • Model piping assemblies using CAD and perform piping stress analysis.
  • Read and develop detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams of complex fluids systems.
  • Select components and provide detailed specifications for purchase.
  • Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines to establish a complete system design.
  • Manage fabrication and installation of fluid systems in the field.
