Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Launch & Test Engineer, Fluids (Starship) to design, build, and operate fluid systems for the world’s most ambitious rocket program. You’ll own end-to-end projects, collaborate with mechanical, propulsion, and test teams, and translate complex physics into reliable hardware and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace, or related field.
  • 1+ years of hands-on build or design experience (internships count).
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with clear communication.
  • Experience with high-pressure or cryogenic fluid systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and build systems that support rocket launches and testing.
  • Cradle-to-grave ownership from design reviews to procurement and assembly.
  • Design modular hardware for volume production at future sites.
  • Apply fluid, thermal, and structural analysis to optimize components.
  • Collaborate with technicians to iterate and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Maintain rapid feedback loops to meet tight launch deadlines.
