Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer for the Fluid Systems Engineering team. You will participate in complex projects, designing, testing, and developing concepts for production release to ensure top performance, durability, and serviceability.

You will apply advanced design principles to support build processes and integration of new components and technologies. The role requires hands-on CAD design experience (Creo, Pro/E, SolidWorks) and the ability to analyze prototypes, translate

Qualifications

Degree from an accredited Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering program.
CAD design tools experience (Creo, Pro/E, SolidWorks).
Simulation-led design experience with rapid iteration.

Responsibilities

Prepares concept, design, development, and feasibility studies of complex engineering projects.
Organizes and executes the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
Assists supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance.
Develops and documents functional requirements and translates into detailed design documents.
Participates in buy-build analysis for product components.
Supports proposal preparation and technical reports.
Uses technical expertise to resolve problems with Test, Evaluation, Service, and suppliers.
