Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Construction Superintendent – Fabrication (Starbase) to own day‑to‑day field fabrication for fluid systems. You will lead contractors, manage schedules, and ensure safe, high‑quality installations in a fast‑paced test environment.

You will review drawings and field changes, coordinate with engineering and SpaceX teams, and drive productivity while advancing fabrication packages on multiple shifts with some travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3+ years of professional experience in the construction or aerospace industries, with experience leading or coordinating a labor force
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with a construction trade skill
• Experience reading piping and instrumentation diagrams and isometric drawings
• OSHA 30 certification and CWI certification are preferred

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day execution of fluids fabrication projects on site
• Lead site logistics and operations for fabrication projects, including scheduling, progress tracking, quality control, and resource allocation
• Manage material deliveries, storage, and site cleanliness to support fabrication activities
• Review drawings, isometric diagrams, and field changes for fabrication constructability
• Coordinate with contractors, engineering, and SpaceX teams to resolve field issues
• Plan and sequence fabrication work to align with project schedule and constraints
• Assist with hands-on skilled trade work as needed (≈10% of time)
